Nearly 500 pounds of pure power will be back in the ring on November 23rd for the newly-minted rematch of Deontay “The Bronze Bomber” Wilder versus Luis “King Kong” Ortiz.

The highly-anticipated sequel will go down at the Las Vegas MGM Grand Garden Arena and broadcasted over Fox Premier Boxing Champions pay-per-view. The stakes will be high with Wilder’s WBC championship up for grabs, and a big payday with Tyson Fury perhaps waiting in the wings.

Wilder-Ortiz Part 1 featured two undefeated powerhouses colliding in a heavyweight demolition derby that saw Wilder raise his arm in victory via TKO. Despite losing, the hefty Cuban southpaw Ortiz punished the undefeated “Bronze Bomber” like no other opponent. In the middle rounds, Wilder was visibly hurt and before the fight was stopped, both CBS Sports and Showtime had Ortiz up on the cards by three rounds. Those scorecards ultimately ended up as scrap paper when Wilder smoked the Cuban in the tenth round after landing one of his fabled right-hand shots.

If the Wilder smack talk on Tyson Fury has you feeling Déjà vu, a similar story played out in 2018. After Wilder KO’d Bernard Stiverne in the first round, he took the Ortiz fight before moving onto a super fight against lineal champion Tyson Fury.

Now, after a first-round KO of Dominic Breazeale, Wilder will fight Ortiz again before his rumored rematch with Fury to settle their controversial draw.
