Fury Breaks Silence Amid Cancellation of Wilder Fight

News broke out last week that Tyson Fury’s bout against Deontay Wilder would be rescheduled from July 24th to October 9th following Fury’s positive test for COVID-19. The fight will still take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

On Wednesday July 14th, Tyson Fury took to social media to personally respond to the postponement of his fight against Wilder. However, instead of addressing the details of the postponement and his health, he instead posted a video on Twitter thanking those that voted for him for the ESPN 2021 Best Boxer of the Year Award.

The fan feedback from his response has been considerably negative, with many boxing fans saying that they are disappointed that Fury did not address or apologize for the cancellation of the fight, especially since many boxing fans had already made accommodations to watch the fight in Vegas.
