Fighting Words | Terence Crawford Tells Errol Spence Jr. to Drop Them ‘Panties’

While everyone is speculating on who Errol Spence Jr. will fight next, the one man who should fight him has reminded silent. Until now. Terence Crawford not only called out Spence but did so in a big way… on where else but TMZ. “Take off them panties and pull your pants up, and let’s sign the contract,” Crawford told the gossip site in a video chat interview. “

The proposed Spence Jr. vs Crawford super-fight would be the biggest fight since “GGG” versus “Canelo” Alvarez, but it might never happen because, well, this is boxing.

“Bud” Crawford also shed some light on the negotiations between Top Rank and Premier Boxing, revealing that he’s been trying to get the Spence fight done for a while but suspects that Spence’s camp knows that their prizefighter would lose. “I honestly believe when it comes to him… deep down in his heart, he knows what he’s up against when he goes up against me,” added Crawford, who hasn’t fought since last April when he put a whupping on Amir Khan.

It would be a shame if the super-fight didn’t go down because it would not only solidify the welterweight championship but provide a solid argument for who is the “best pound-for-pound fighter” in the sport. So far, Spence, coming off a tough fight versus Shawn Porter, hasn’t publicly said who he wants to fight next but he did drop an Emoji clue.
