[UPDATE] Errol Spence Facing a Judges’ Decision After DWI Charge

0

After surviving both a brutal bout with Shawn Porter and a harrowing car wreck relatively in one piece, Errol Spence Jr. may finally be paying the price for living dangerously. According to Dallas police, the welterweight champ was drunk driving in the early morning hours of Oct. 10th when his Ferrari crossed the median into oncoming traffic, flipped over several times hurling Spence from the vehicle.

While his prized Ferrari is out for the count, the Dallas prizefighter miraculously escaped without a broken bone although he did suffer some unspecified “facial lacerations.” The Dallas police will not investigate exactly how fast Spence was going, but he won’t walk away unscathed from a legal standpoint.

Since it was a single-car accident, Spence is facing a Class B misdemeanor, which is punishable by up to 180 days in jail, or a fine up to $2,000. No word yet on when and/or if “The Truth” will step into the ring again, but we do know that the man who we want to see him fight, “Bud” Crawford, is moving on with a scheduled Dec. 14th bout with the “Mean Machine.
