It looks like Anthony Joshua is taking this whole Andy Ruiz rematch thing seriously. After getting floored the first fight, the British heavyweight has shown up to the sequel bout’s promotion tour noticeably slimmer, trading his Instagram-famous, action figure physique for a more sleek, athletic look.
Joshua has always been in tip-top shape, but critics have said that one of the reasons why Ruiz upset him, was that the Englishman was carrying excess muscle mass that made him look more like Mr. Universe than a heavyweight champ.
“Bodybuilding ain’t boxing, AJ” said rival Tyson Fury, who called his fellow countryman an ‘overhyped bodybuilder.’ “Leave the fights to the fighting men.”
